Staff Report

DAYTON, Ohio —

Police said two men escaped serious injury early Monday morning after being shot at near a downtown Dayton ATM.

Officers said the men were stopped at an ATM at South Jefferson Street and South Patterson Boulevard when a car pulled up next to them, and opened fire. The men took cover inside their truck.

According to police, at least seven shots were fired, and four of them hit the truck. The men were grazed, but were treated at the scene by Dayton medics and were not transported to the hospital.

The victims said the shots were fired from a passenger in what appeared to be a dark-color Pontiac Bonneville, which took off after the shots were fired.

Dayton police believe they may have found the suspect vehicle in an area on or near West Third Street.
