PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio —

An on-going investigation in Miami County over the theft and recovery of stolen and missing  semi tractors and trailers lead investigators to a rural area of Preble Co. off SR 744 and US Route 127, 13 miles south of Eaton Friday morning.

Officers located 4 stolen semi trailers, two trailer loads of aluminum wheel rims and other equipment.

The most recent investigation started in April of  2012 at the trucking business near Flethcer in Miami County on US Route 36. Owner Clifford Polhamus, 60,  was arrested, and since convicted of two counts of receiving stolen property. Recently he was sentenced to 34 months in prison by a Miami County Judge.

On September 10, 2012 that same investigation lead officials to a farm near Bradford in Darke County. Two stolen semi tractors were seized. So far no arrests.

Now, the investigation in Preble County. It continues.
