OXFORD, Butler County —
A Miami University student was seriously injured early Sunday morning and taken by a medical helicopter to the hospital.
Emergency crews responded at 12:32 a.m. to 405 East Vine St., where a male student was unconscious and bleeding after a fall, the Oxford police dispatch center confirmed Sunday.
The male student struck his head, according to the initial dispatch record.
The address is the location for the Eta Phi of Sigma Pi fraternity, according to the university’s website.
The president of the fraternity could not be reached for comment Sunday night.
The campus in Butler County of 16,000 students is home to more than 50 fraternity and sorority chapters.
