Drunk driving down 30% in past 5 years

Last year marked the lowest number for drunk drivers in almost 20 years.

Drunk driving has fallen 30 percent in five years, according to a study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The study was based on a 2010 national telephone survey of U.S. adults.

About 1 in 50 said they had driven drunk at least once in the previous month.

Last year, they estimate about 112 million episodes of drunk drivers. The peak in 2006 was about 170 million.
