New Information: Bicyclist Struck Near Tipp City
MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio —
A bicyclist was taken by Careflight after he suffered serious head injuries when he collided with a car near Tipp City on Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened on Ginghamsburg-Frederick Road and County Road 25-A in Miami County.
Deputies said that Dean Childs, 56, of near Tipp City was riding bikes with his 22-year-old daughter.
They had just turned onto 25-A when a car that was passing them collided with Childs. He is listed in fair condition at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
His daughter was not struck. Childs was wearing a helmet, deputies said.
