New Testing Center For Children Opens In Springboro

SPRINGBORO, Ohio —

There are clothes made for children, special food for children and now there is a new testing center just for children. It is the first of its kind and it is now serving southern Montgomery and northern Warren counties.

The new Springboro testing center knows how to handle babies and children. That is because it is a center just for kids.

Children’s Medical Center in Dayton runs the Springboro testing center. At the center, technicians draw blood for lab work and they take X-rays for various problems.

The state-of-the-art X-ray machine allows diagnosis within minutes, thanks to a computer link.

Officials said everything in the center is geared toward children. Until now, many children have been treated at centers geared more toward adults.

Officials said children at the center are treated more comfortable in an area where people with them are geared to treat their special needs.

Parents can check out the new center on Saturday during an open house. Children can also learn about bike safety and there will be a mobile wellness center on location as well.

For the center’s hours and location, call 641-5700.
