No Explosives Found In Clark Co. Bomb Threat

SPRINGFIELD, Twp. —

Deputies in Clark County said a bomb threat at a local business Thursday morning was false, and now authorities are trying to get more information about the incident.

According to the sheriff's office, Springfield police received a 911 call around 1 a.m. The caller, who was calling from a BP station on W. Main Street, told dispatchers that a bomb was at Pratt Industries on Baker Road.

Deputies arrived and talked about the threat with employees. The business was evacuated. The Ohio State Patrol was also dispatched to the scene, along with an explosive detection dog who searched the facility. Authorities said no bomb was found, but they were able to get some evidence and information about a possible suspect.

If you have any information about this incident, call the Clark County Sheriff's Office at 328-2560.
