Oakwood Spends $600,000 To Renovate Park

OAKWOOD, Ohio —

The city of Oakwood is rebuilding its most heavily used children’s park.

Orchardly Park was last renovated in 1991 and this new improvement will cost the city $600,000.

Oakwood’s city manager says the renovations should last another 15 to 20 years. He says the location is excellent because many families with young children live in the area.

The total work involves reconstructing all of the playground areas and adding a new water splash park. The construction was unanimously approved by the city council.

The renovated park should be complete by June of this year.
