Off-Duty Fire Captain Spots Burning House

FRANKLIN, Ohio —

Authorities said an off-duty fire captain reported after seeing black smoke coming from a house.

The fire was located at the home located on Commerce Center Drive in Franklin a half-mile down a tree-covered lane.

Firefighters were forced to use 500 feet of hose across a farm field in order to get water to the burning structure.

Arson investigators will now determine if the blaze was intentionally set. At this time, fire officials said the fire appears suspicious.
