Pickup Truck, Police Cruiser Crash Wednesday Night

CLARK COUNTY, Ohio —

A Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy and a K-9 unit is recovering Thursday after being by a pickup truck.

Deputy Brian Campbell and his K-9 unit were hit while traveling on Columbia just before 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

Police said the pickup truck was traveling and then apparently had trouble while the driver was trying to maintain control. He hit the patrol car,comma totaling the vehicle.

The Deputy was rushed to a hospital and the dog went to a local vet.

Police said the crash is being investigated.
