PIQUA, Ohio —
For the third time in six months a neighborhood gas station and convenience store in Piqua has been broken into or robbed at gunpoint.
The owners of Buckeye Chucks at Park and Washington streets installed new glass doors after it was shattered early Tuesday morning.
Police said thieves entered the business twice within minutes and left with an undetermined amount of cash, along with cigarettes and K-2, which officers called a synthetic marijuana.
On Dec. 29, the business was broken into. However, a suspect was later arrested and is now awaiting sentencing.
On the weekend of July 16, two men held up the night clerk and sprayed him with pepper spray.
If you have any information about the recent burglary, contact Piqua police at 778-2017 or 615-COPS.
