Piqua Police Give Away Pepper Spray

PIQUA, Ohio —

Police in Piqua gave away pepper spray on Friday afternoon in the wake of a series of recent robberies and attacks on women in the city.

They held a special program at the Piqua YWCA as part of a series title “Shop Safely.”

The women were taught how to use pepper spray correctly as a deterrent against crime. Despite the recent incident, Officer Steve Cantrell said Piqua is still a good and safe place to live and raise a family.
