Plea In Drugs For Pickup Trucks Case

Related

Three men accused of exchanging two brand new pickup trucks for 100 pounds of marijuana with undercover officers pleaded guilty in court.

Five men were scheduled to go on trial this week in a Miami County courtroom.

Facing years in prison if convicted as charged, three of the five pleaded guilty.

They included 23-year-old Shane Rice-Hartzell of Piqua, Nicholas Cox, 20, of Howstown, and 25-year-old Joshua Lee also of Piqua.

The charges stem from breaking and entering, to theft, and attempted possession of drugs.

The other two, James Huber and Jamie Elliott, both of Covington, still maintain their innocence and are set to go on trial on July 25.

Part of the deal is that Rice-Hartzell, Cox and Lee agree to testify if called up in the trial of Huber and Elliott.
