Pleasant Hill goes all out support teen, bone cancer

She is Sierra Flanary, 14, a high school freshman

PLESANT HILL, Ohio —

The sign on a tree with a large yellow ribbon around it on North Main St. (SR 48) in Pleasant Hill reads "Pray for Sierra."

Sierra is a 14-year-old freshman at Newton High School who was just recently diagnosed with bone cancer. She is undergoing chemotherapy that will conitnue for several months. Sierra is also facing upcoming surgeries.

All proceeds from the 82nd annual Newton's Fall Fair at the school Friday evening will go to Sierra's family.

Many, many other fund raisers for Sierra are planned during the month of October.
