DAYTON, Ohio —

Surveillance video in connection with a shooting early Wednesday morning at a local gas station has been released.

Officers said around 10 shots were fired at a man who was sitting in a vehicle next to a fuel pump at the gas station.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. at the Shell Station on West Third Street. According to police, the man was struck by at least one of the bullets.

A Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy was on patrol on West Third when he heard the shots. The deputy was the first officer on the scene and discovered the shooting victim, according to Dayton Sgt. Richard Blommel.

The victim was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with what Blommel described as non-life threatening injuries.

Officers said several people witnessed the shooting, but many of them left the scene immediately. Several witnesses were stopped by police and were questioned about the shooting. Police said they believe the shooting may be a result of an ongoing feud.

The suspect was described to police as a black man, but no other physical descriptions are being released by police at this time, Blommel said.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Dayton Police Department.
