Police Arrest Beavercreek Robbery Suspect

Sunday night Beavercreek police took a 20-year-old man into custody who they believe robbed a local bank.

Police said they recovered some of the stolen money.

Police said the suspect robbed the Fifth Third Bank on Seajay Drive in Beavercreek at gunpoint Saturday afternoon.

Surveillance video shows a man entering the bank just after noon, displaying a gold hand gun and demanding money, Beavercreek police said.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

Police said the suspect also admitted to other crimes.

"The arrest is going to help us clear up some robberies not only in Beavercreek but in the surrounding communities," Det. Rodney Curd with Beavercreek Police said Sunday.
