Police: Cemetery Damaged; Driver Charged With OVI

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio —

Police in Beavercreek said an intoxicated driver damaged six headstones at a cemetery on Wednesday night.

James McNamara, 55, of Beavercreek, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Police said the man was behind the wheel of a car that created a lot of damage.

Officers investigating a crash on North Fairfield Road near Cedarwood said a witness told them that McNamara also drove through the nearby Mount Zion Cemetery.
