Police find fleeing driver stuck in snow

DAYTON —

A man suspected of fleeing from police during a traffic stop was found later to have driven his vehicle into a snow bank.

Police responded to the 5000 block of Dayton Liberty Road Wednesday where a 2008 Saturn Aura was stuck in a snow bank. Police said the same vehicle had been involved in a traffic stop earlier in the day, and the driver fled.

Police recognized the driver of the vehicle in the snowbank as the same driver who had fled the stop. When police attempted to approach the man, later identified as Jeramie Perry, he fled on foot, according to a police report.

A foot pursuit followed, and the suspect ignored repeated verbal orders to stop, according to the report. Police were able to apprehend Perry in a nearby backyard.

Perry was also cited for earlier traffic violations, according to the report.
