Inmate, woman accused in underage sex plan

CONNERSVILLE, Ind. —

A woman has been arrested after she was accused of having conversations with an inmate about how to have sexual relations with an underage person.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies investigated Tracy Guffey, 32, who was recorded talking on the phone from jail to Amanda Mize, 31, about the sex act. Guffey allegedly instructed Mize to intoxicate and take advantage of a juvenile.

More than one conversation about it took place, officials said.

Mize was arrested while buying alcohol before the plan was put in place. She faces 50 years in prison if convicted on charges that are being pursued.

Guffey is a convicted child molester and rapist who is in jail on a sex registry violation.
