Police investigate group home break-in

Staff Report

DAYTON —

Former tenants or their parents are suspected of breaking into the Glover Youth group home Friday morning.

The person who runs the group home, at 107 W. Hillcrest Ave., reported that someone entered the building through a window where the air conditioning unit used to be and broke into a locked office and other rooms, according to a Dayton police report.

An Xbox gaming system, medical supplies that included two prescriptions for a tenant, and a Dell laptop were stolen, according to the report.

The manager told police he believes the suspects are former tenants or their parents.
