Staff Report
DAYTON, Ohio —
The Thai 9 restaurant in Dayton was broken into early Sunday morning and the suspect made off with two liquor bottles before police arrived on the scene.
Police responded around 5:30 a.m. to the restaurant, located at 11 Brown St., after the suspect tripped a silent alarm. According to a police report obtained Monday, a window in the restaurant’s patio area was broken out using a nearby umbrella stand. One or two bottles was missing from the establishment, police said, although it did not appear the suspect went anywhere other than the bar area.
Police plan to review the security footage from a camera in the restaurant that faces the bar.
This is the second break-in at the location this summer. The first incident was recorded June 21. Liquor bottles were taken at that time as well.
