Cops: Man shot in dispute over game system

DAYTON —

A man was grazed by a bullet Thursday stemming from a dispute that erupted over an XBox gaming system.

Dayton police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Carver Place shortly before 6 this evening.

Reports from Montgomery County Regional Dispatch indicated that a male had been shot in the stomach while selling the game system.

Police on scene said the victim, whose name and age were not available, was only grazed by the bullet and was not taken to a hospital. As of 6:30 p.m., no arrest had been made.

This was the second reported shooting within an hour’s time. The first occurred on North Paul Laurence Dunbar Street near West Riverview Drive.

Police said the two incidents were not related.
