Police: Woman Falls Out Of Moving Vehicle

DAYTON, Ohio —

People said they saw a woman fall out of a moving car on a busy Dayton Street on Thursday. The incident happened in the 2300 block of Wayne Avenue around 6 p.m.

Friends said the woman jumped, but police began looking into other possibilities. Lt. Randy Beane said, “We have at least two witnesses saying she was pushed.”

After further investigation, authorities believe the woman did jump from the van. Friends said Lori Lane, 26, had been drinking at a cookout and when they tried to take her home she threatened to jump out of the car.

Friends said this is not the first time Lane has done this kind of thing and are not surprised it happened again. Police took two men in for questioning and later released the driver.

Lane’s boyfriend was taken to jail on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Lane is listed in serious condition at a local hospital.
