WEST CARROLLTON —

A woman is facing charges after police said she went into a bar while leaving two small children outside in her car.

West Carrollton police said Vicki Ann Freeders, 30, went inside a bar at 822 Watertower Lane around 1:45 a.m.

After having some drinks, Sgt. Kori Rolando said she got back into her car, and drove away with the children.

A Miamisburg officer stopped the car a few moments later at East Central Avenue and S. 6th St. Rolando said a West Carrollton officer responded to that location, and took Freeders into custody.

She was taken to West Carrollton police headquarters for questioning. The children were released to the care of a grandparent.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s website, Freeders will face charges of driving while intoxicated, and two counts of child endangering. She is scheduled to appear in court at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
