Preble County raises snow advisory to Level 2

By Skip Weaver

Sheriff Mike Simpson has raised the snow level for Preble County to Level 2 effective at 11:30 a.m., according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

A Level 2 snow advisory means that roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads can be very icy. Only those who feel it is absolutely necessary to drive should be on the roadways.

Simpson said roadways have deteriorated severely over the past few hours, and that blowing and drifting snow will make some roads impassable by late afternoon.

People should contact their employer to see if they should report to work, and motorists are urged to use extreme caution.
