Rain to give way to clear skies, warm temperatures

MIAMI VALLEY —

Clear skies will move into the area this afternoon after morning rain showers.

Temperatures will warm slightly into the low and mid-40s later today, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek.

“With clear skies tonight, we’ll have one more opportunity for black ice. Lows will drop to the upper-20s,” he said.

On Thursday, clouds will increase with some showers possible later in the afternoon. Highs will climb into the mid-40s, and temperatures will be steady into the night, he said.

More rain showers will arrive by Friday morning, and showers will taper down by the afternoon. More showers are possibly late Saturday and on Sunday.

“Very mild temperatures will continue to be with us, with highs in the mid 50s Friday, near 60 Saturday and low 50s Sunday,” he said. “A significant cool down is likely early next week.”
