Retired Troy Fire Chief laid to rest

TROY, Ohio —

Retired Troy Fire Chief Robert M. Counts was laid to rest Tuesday at Riverside Cemetery in Troy following a short battle with lung cancer. He served near 50 years on the Troy Fire Department, serving 34 of those years a Chief.

His casket was transported from the church to the cemetery in a 1935 Mack antique fire truck owned by the Tipp City Fire Department. Chief counts was 5-years-old when that fire truck was manufactured.
