Richmond, Ind., store robbed at gunpoint

RICHMOND —

Police are looking for two males who robbed the Coffey’s Appliance Store on Monday afternoon.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., one of two males walked into the store, at 1313 S. E St., pulled a handgun and demanded cash from the store owner, according to Richmond Officer Bill Shake.

One of the robbers ripped the phone out of the wall, preventing the owner from calling police right away, Shake said.

The robbers, who took an undisclosed amount of cash, were last seen dressed in blue jeans and striped clothing running south from the store.

As of 9:30 p.m., no arrests had been made.

To provide a tip, call Richmond police at (765) 962-9523.
