Riverside police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed the Bob Evans restaurant Tuesday night.

The robber approached employees at closing time in the restaurant’s parking lot, 1285 Woodman Drive, and displayed a firearm, either a saw-off shotgun or rifle with a cut barrel, according to Riverside police.

The robber forced one employee back into the store and demanded cash. He got away running south with an undisclosed amount.

The robber was described as black, 6-feet tall and 250 pounds, approximately in his late 20s, early 30s. He was described as having an unshaven face and wearing dark slacks, brown leather boots, purple dress shirts, paisley pattern multicolored tie, purple toboggan hat, purple gloves, black scarf and a tan mid-thigh jacket.
