Search Continues For Suspect In Family Dollar Robbery

DAYTON, Ohio —

Dayton robbery detectives are searching for a criminal Monday morning following a holdup at the Family Dollar Store on Germantown Street in Dayton on Saturday night.

Police said the man walked into the store to buy some candy and left. Several minutes later, they said the man returned with a gun and forced a store manager and a clerk to empty the register and a safe.

Investigators said the man left with approximately $1,000 in cash and fled the scene going north on Germantown.

Authorities describe the suspect as a male around 35 years old and weighing around 170 pounds. Police also said the man was wearing a Carhart coat.
