Search For Missing Couple Stretches Into Fifth Day

Another futile and heartbreaking day in the search for a Brookville couple feared dead after disappearing in a local river.

Cadaver dogs are being used in the search for bodies. Crews are also using sonar to get an idea what's below the water surface. But the going is tough. Water levels are down, but there is debris hampering the search.

Searchers have found the body of the dog owned by Craig and Patricia Wenner in the fast moving Stillwater River.

Chief Larry Jones says the Wenner's daughters and other friends and family are just trying to stay strong during the search. So are searchers, who know the end result will be tragic. "They are all holding up real well," said Chief Jones, " they've got a mission and they've got plenty of support."

The Wenner family was walking with their dog Christmas Day when the dog jumped into the fast moving waters. The couple went in after the dog. The couple's two daughters watched in horror from the shore as their parents and pet disappeared in the surf.
