DAYTON, Ohio —
The judge said he would do everything possible to keep Keith Finley behind bars for life.
Dyer was killed in July 2003. Finley, Dyer's on again, off again boyfriend, was convicted earlier this moth of stabbing her, and then running over her with a van. Investigators said the couple's young son was watching everything.
Dyer's mother, Mary Coppas, forgave Keith and prayed for his soul.
Finely read a letter, before his sentencing, offering condolences, but no apology. He said he is innocent. However, the judge called Finley a liar and a murderer.
The judge sentenced Finley to 15 years to life in prison and then made him a promise. He told Finley that he will advise the parole board that he never be released from prison.
