Showers possible at start of football games

MIAMI VALLEY —

Showers will be possible during Friday night football, especially during the early part of the games, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Erica Collura.

Friday night will not be the first time today the Miami Valley could see rain. “A few showers are possible across our western and northwestern counties this morning, but we’ll have to wait until later in the afternoon to see more numerous showers,” Collura said.

The rain is expected to taper off later tonight, with only a few lingering showers.

Temperatures are expected to be in the low 50s throughout Friday afternoon, with overnight lows around 41 degrees.

Saturday morning may start wet for some, with a few scattered showers, but the area will dry out later in the afternoon with some sun returning to the region, Collura said.

Highs around 56 are expected Saturday.

The nicest day of the weekend is expected to be Sunday with milder temperatures and sunny skies. A high temperature of 66 is expected, according to Collura.

The next chance for rain moves into the Miami Valley on Tuesday, but even Tuesday not everyone will get wet.
