Police have released a sketch of a man they believe is responsible for a home invasion that occurred Wednesday.

Police believe the suspect is a younger, white Caucasian man with blue eyes and light brown hair. They say the man tied up a retired veteran and his adult daughter inside their Miamisburg home Wednesday morning and demanded silver.

The victim told News Center 7 he returned to his home in the 800 block of Althea Drive after dropping his granddaughter off at school to find a man in his laundry room.

“I came home, opened the door and there he was,” he can be heard telling a dispatcher on the 911 recording.

The suspect brandished two weapons, including one belonging to the victim, and demanded silver and gold.

The victim told News Center 7 he was bound at the wrists. His daughter, who had been home at the time the suspect entered through an open garage door, was also bound upstairs. He told a dispatcher that he was struck in the face with on of the guns but did not require medical attention.

The suspect fled with silver worth several thousand dollars, several hundred dollars in cash, weapons and the victim’s car.

The victim’s vehicle was found later that day several blocks from the home. Police have declined to say if anything was in it, but said they towed the vehicle and will be searching it for evidence.
