Spring Break Students Busted At 4-H Camp

GREENE COUNTY, Ohio —

Authorities said more than two dozen teens and adults under 21, on spring break, went to a party at a Greene County 4-H Camp, but deputies said they were not supposed to be at the camp and they were drinking.

Deputies said the teens and adults were given citations on the night of the illegal party. The people were cited when someone called deputies because they spotted a suspicious party at the camp, which was closed.

The teens and adults went to the party at Camp Clifton 4-H on Friday night, deputies said. They were between the ages of 15 and 20. Reports indicated that most of them were from the Jamestown area; however, a few teens were from Yellow Springs and Xenia.

According to deputies, a few beer cans were found on the lawn; however, they said most of the drinking took place indoors.

Deputies said they handed out 25 citations to seven adults who were under the age of 21, and 18 citations were given to juveniles under the age of 18.

The citations were issued on allegations of trespassing, underage possession or consumption of alcohol and inducing panic.

There were no parents at the camp on the night of the party, deputies said.

All of the teens who were cited will soon appear in court.
