Kody Francis, 18, of St. Paris, is accused of robbing a Troy gas station Thursday morning.

TROY —

An 18-year-old St. Paris man is under arrest for the robbery of a Troy gas station early Thursday morning.

St. Paris police arrested Kody Francis Saturday.

News Center 7 showed surveillance video of the robbery on its newscasts. Troy police said the video prompted a lot of people to call in with tips.

Officers said Francis was “courteous” when he was arrested. But he decided to ask for an attorney and did not answer any questions.

Police accused Francis of entering the Valero gas station at 322 W. Market St. armed with a black handgun. He is accused of taking money from the business.

Francis is held in the Miami County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence.
