State Troopers Promoted At Area Posts

COLUMBUS, Ohio —

Several area State Highway Patrol Troopers were promoted Thursday.

The commander of the Wapakoneta State Highway Patrol Post has been promoted to staff lieutenant, while a sergeant stationed at the Piqua Post was promoted to lieutenant, and a trooper from the Sandusky Post was promoted to sergeant and transferred to Piqua.

Lt. Dan Lay from the Wapakoneta Post was promoted and transferred to the Office of Field Operations at General Headquarters in Columbus, according to Col. Richard Collins, superintendent of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Sgt. John Carrico was promoted and reassigned from Piqua to the Wapakoneta Post as post commander replacing Lt. Lay.

Trooper Richard Reeder was also promoted Thursday to the rank of sergeant and transferred from Sandusky to the Piqua Post as assistant post commander.

The promotions and transfers are effective immediately, Supt. Collins said.
