From the age of nine, Steve has had a passion for weather and would always love big snowstorms, especially if that meant a day off from school! He practiced giving weather reports from the cellar of his house as a kid, with production assistance for these newscasts provided by his wonderful parents and brothers! He followed his dream of being a TV meteorologist and attended Penn State University where he graduated in 1997 with a B.S. in Meteorology.

Steve began his television career in Wichita, Kansas as a meteorologist at KSNW/KSAS-TV. After a year-and-a-half in the heart of "tornado alley," he returned to the Northeast as Chief Meteorologist at WIVT/WBGH-TV in Binghamton, N.Y., where he saw his fair share of lake-effect snow! He also served as Chief Meteorologist at a centralized weather operation (Weather Hub) located at WIXT-TV in Syracuse, NY.

Steve enjoys sharing his love of weather with others, whether it is with viewers or students at local schools. In fact, prior to coming to WHIO-TV, he was an Instructor of Meteorology at West Chester University of Pennsylvania in suburban Philadelphia. Steve will continue his love for teaching weather to students as he plans visit many schools around the Miami Valley.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys long-distance running and baking, from pepperoni bread to goop cookies.
