Suspect Identified In Sunoco Shooting Death

DAYTON, Ohio —

Police in Dayton said they have a suspect in a shooting that happened at a local gas station early Tuesday morning.

Now, they are looking into whether the shooting was in self-defense. Michael Hayes, 37, was shot at the Sunoco station on West Third Street when he suddenly got into a fight with his ex-girlfriend.

Investigators said a relative of the woman stepped in, leaving Hayes shot . He later died from his injuries.
