Suspect In Sidney Carryout Robbery Charged, Indicted

SIDNEY, Ohio —

A Sidney man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery a week ago at a carryout in downtown Sidney.

Neil Cromes, 26, address at large, was charged with aggravated robbery and drug abuse. He was arrested last Thursday, was indicted and is being held in the Shelby County Jail in lieu of posting a $20,000 bond.

Police said $1,673 in cash was taken in the robbery last Monday night at the carryount located on North Ohio Avenue in downtown Sidney.

During the course of the robbery, the clerk asked him to please point the gun up and not at her. The gun turned out be a BB gun, according to court records.
