MERCER COUNTY, Ohio —
The suspect in a November 8, 2012 murderĀ in the Mercer County village of Rocford made his initial court appearance Monday afternoon in Mercer County Common Pleas Court in Celina.
Daniel Charles Martin, 40, is being held in jail without bond. He is charged with the shooting death of his then-girlfriend Melinda Shinn in the mobile home they shared in Rockford.
Martin was arrested in Fort Wayne last week and was returned to Ohio to stand trial two days later.
Martin is scheduled back to Mercer County Common Pleas Couirt on January 25 for his arraignment on the charge of murder.
