HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio —
This means that 500 teachers and classified employees and close to 7,000 students could be back in the classroom as early as Friday.
It has been anything but normal in Huber Heights after teachers walked off the job two days into the new school year. The State Employee Relations Board ordered both sides into negotiation earlier this week, which led to a meeting in Columbus on Wednesday.
Hour and hour of talks went on and shortly after midnight, the two sides found common ground.
Superintendent Bill Kirby said, “The Huber Heights Education Association leadership has informed me that we expect teachers back in the classroom on Friday.”
