A 14-year-old boy was inside a home when multiple people forced their way into the residence. At least one of the robbers was armed with a gun, according to reports.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home in the 50 block of Redder Avenue around 12:10 a.m. on a report of a home invasion.

The father of the teen said he had left the house to purchase some snacks at a nearby convenience store when he received a call from his son saying the men had barged into the house.

The suspects assaulted the teen, leaving him with a bruise on the side of his midsection, the father said.

According to the father, the intruders stole his son’s cell phone and left the scene.

No immediate details on suspect descriptions were available.
