Teen To Be Tried As Adult In Rape Case

Authorities said a 14-year-old boy from Butler County accused of attacking and raping a woman will be tried as an adult.

Alex Ramirez, who lives near Monroe, faces charges of rape, kidnapping and aggravated robbery.

Police said in January, Ramirez went to a neighbor’s house with a shotgun, knocked on the door, and then sexually assaulted and robbed a 64-year-old woman inside.

Ramirez is being held on a $1 million bond.
