Firefighters help Tipp City family have Christmas despite fire

Tipp City firefighters put the word "Merry" back into Christmas for fire victims

TIPP CITY —

Thanks to a caring community and a group of determined Tipp City firefighters who wanted to help a family who "lost" all of their Christmas gifts in a recent house house in Tipp City did just that Wednesday evening.

They arrived at the temporary home for Bradley and Heather Sprague and their two children, Hannah, 17, and Jenna, age 4.

Santa, "Sparkey" and the firemen carried arm loads of  gift wraped presents for the entire family, thanks to several businessess, industries, individuals and firefighters.

The fire was on December 12 at the Sprague home in the 200 block of Bowmen Ave. in Tipp City. The fire possibly started in the attice above the garage.

No one was injured.
