MIAMI COUNTY —

State troopers found an overturned SUV near the ramp from County Road 25-A to southbound I-75 early Saturday morning. But no one was with the vehicle.

OSP Sgt. J.C. Chesser said the SUV lost control on the ramp. The driver swerved right, over corrected, swerved left, and then swerved right again. He said the vehicle then rolled over.

Chesser said the driver and any passengers were not there when police arrived. He said they will face a charge of leaving the scene of an accident if they are found.

He said troopers will be checking hospitals to see if any accident victims came in.

Chesser said there was no evidence of alcohol in the vehicle. He said speed could be a factor.

The accident remains under investigation.
