Trotwood Wal-Mart To Close In October

TROTWOOD, Ohio —

Officials with Wal-Mart have announced that it has decided to close its Salem Ave. store in October.

The 130 employees of the Trotwood store will be eligible for a severance package or considered for positions at neighboring Wal-Mart stores.

Wal-Mart officials said after reviewing the “customer base and customer demand in the Trotwood area, Wal-Mart has found that its customers are drawn to the products, services and convenience of 24-hour shopping at the Englewood and Miller Lane Supercenters.”

According to a press release, the Trotwood discount location will be closed officially in October.
