Troy Committee Wants Alcohol Sold At Hobart Arena

TROY, Ohio —

Residents in Troy could be asked to vote on whether alcohol should be sold at Hobart Arena.

Troy’s Recreation and Parks Committee wants the question to be put before voters in November.

The committee said selling alcohol would help keep the arena from losing money.

The committee would also like the arena to sell alcohol for certain events before November So, staff members can learn how to manage the sale of alcohol.

Before any temporary alcohol sale could occur, the Parks and recreation boards, the police chief, and the Ohio Department of Liquor Control would have to sign off on the idea.
