Troy Police Bust Marijuana-Growing Operation

TROY, Ohio —

Police in Troy responded Thursday evening to a report of an indoor marijuana-growing operation in an apartment and ended up confiscating plants and growing equipment and arresting the apartment manager.

It was a four-apartment complex at Lake and Race streets in Troy.

Police seized more than a dozen potted plants. Detectives valued the plants and equipment at several thousand dollars.

The 21-year-old male was booked into the Miami County Jail on a charge of cultivating marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school. Police also removed a handgun as evidence.
