TROY —

Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Valero station, 322 W. Market St., which occurred early Thursday morning.

The suspect allegedly entered the business around 12:40 a.m. armed with a black handgun, possibly a pistol, according to Troy Police Detective Chris Tilley.

Tilley said the suspect is a white man, possibly in his late teens or early 20s, was wearing a grey hoodie, black pants and black and white shoes. The hoodie had some type of eagle design on it, according to Tilley.

Several witnesses saw the suspect leave the store running towards Peters Avenue, which is located behind the business, police said.

Police said they do have surveillance video and hope the video will lead them to the suspect.

Surveillance video showed the store’s clerk giving the armed man cash.

If anyone has any further information on the robbery Troy Police said you can contact them at 937-339-7525.
